Malena Ramírez

Malena Ramirez is a Puerto Rican Actress/Comedian/ Producer with a Master in Fine Arts from Penn State University where she works now as part of the Faculty at the School of Theatre.  Member of the Spanish Repertory Theatre Company in New York City where she performed in plays like In the Time of the Butterflies, Don Quixote, Discreet but in Love, among others. She made her TV debut in Puerto Rico when she was 17 years old in the renowned comedy show El Condominio in WAPA TV. Her favorite credits in theatre include: Veronica in The Motherf**ker with the Hat, Clytemnestra in The OresteiaMiverva Mirabal and Patria in In the Time of the Butterflies Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night, Miss Margarida in Miss Margarida's Way (a one woman show she produced) and Miguelina in the show I.D. which toured South Africa in 2015. She was also part of the cast of “Song of Home” which toured in Poland and Moldova in February 2020. Malena studied clowning and physical comedy with renowned American actor, clown, and comedian Bill Irwin and Christopher Bayes (Head of Physical Acting at Yale School of Drama).
